If you are in the Hutt Valley come down and check out the Lyricist Lounge at Secret Level, Lower Hutt on Friday 26th June. It's a monthly event ran by DJ Duz & DJ Voodoo. Me & Tyna went down to the first one they had last month. Since the only other emcee there was Choirboy we ended up dropping freestyles & rocking the mic for most of the night, then ended up hanging out in the producers area. It was a fun night & good environment to be around so I'll definitely be going along to this next one. So yea people come down to the next one on the 26th June, starts at 7pm.

The Lyricist Lounge is an informal open Mic night being run in the Valley. The main focus being to give MC's an opportunity to perform either prepared or freestyled tracks in a relaxed and informal environment. On top of this there will be a Mixtape table where groups or artists can pedal their product or check the latest mixtapes from overseas. There is also a producers table where beat makers can meet potential artists looking for production and also swap beats and share tips with other producers. All that and DJ DUZ and DJ Voodoo will be bringing in the latest beats and up n coming Dj's from the Valley to provide a soundtrack for the night. All this and its free. Just a reminder that this is an all ages event and is ALCOHOL FREE! so no drunks allowed. This will be strictly enforced so take note. www.bebo.com/secretlevel
